And three days later it's back on your own desk.
Most of the time it isn't down to the person who took the task on.
It's down to what was handed over with it – and what wasn't.

The task, yes. The authority to decide, often not.
The timeframe, yes. The right to do it differently, rarely.
So someone works on something but can't decide anything. And comes back to ask. Understandably.

Handing over responsibility means living with a result that looks different from the one I would have produced.

That is where real delegation begins.
